Recommended Museums in Tel Aviv

The city of Tel Aviv is many times described as the cultural center of Israel. With the highest number of artists and men of letters who live in the city, together with a huge number of theaters, museums and entertainment centers, it's no wonder that many people like to come and enjoy the atmosphere of the city.
The number of museums in Tel Aviv is outstanding, and currently stands on 23. One can find a museum on any subject, but we've decided to list our preferred ones. Eretz Israel Museum

One of the biggest museums in Tel Aviv, the Eretz Israel Museum, is a multi disciplinary museum which deals with Israels history and culture though permanent exhibits and temporary ones who change from time to time: Archeology, Ethnography, Folklore, Judaica, Local history and more.

Ilana Goor Museum

The Ilana Goor museums resides in an old building from the 18th century, which can be found in Old Jaffa. The museum shows a wide selection of Ilana Goors art, and some of her favorite artists: Tomarkin, Agam, Kadishman, Dorchin and more.

Tel Aviv Museum of Art

A must museum for any art freak, which shows exhibits of different kinds: Israeli art, Modern art, Contemporary art, Photography, Drawing, Architecture, Art from the 16th to the 19th centuries, and more. There are many museums in tel aviv, but this one is highly recommended.

The Hagana Museum

This Tel Aviv Museum is located in one of Tel Aviv's first houses that were built here, and shows the history of Israels defending force from the days of the british mandate, through the Independance war, the establishment of the Israeli Defence Force and Israels declaration of independance.
